Support for Water Sports from Our Faculty

An information meeting was held under the presidency of Bartın Governor Dr. Nurtaç Arslan regarding the results of the project studies titled “Determination of the Routes Suitable for Water Sports on the Bartın River with a Focus on Tourism” supported by the 2024 Tourism Support Program of the Western Black Sea Development Agency, in which Assoc. Prof. Dr. Serdar CEYHUN from our faculty was the executive, Dr. Lecturer Cemal ÖZMAN and Dr. Lecturer Sevim Handan YILMAZ were the researchers.

The program was attended by the officials of the supporting institution Western Black Sea Development Agency (BAKKA), the applicant Bartın University (BARÜ), the project partners Bartın Chamber of Commerce and Industry (TSO), Bartın Provincial Directorate of Culture and Tourism and the Provincial Directorate of Youth and Sports.

In the meeting, information was given about the suitability of the Bartın River for water sports, the necessary infrastructure works and regulations for the development of water sports activities in the presentation made by the Vice President of the Turkish Canoe Federation, who conducted the field exploration studies.
