History of The Department
Bartın University was founded on 22nd May 2008 with the law no. 5765. While School of Physical Education and Sports was attached to Zonguldak Karaelmas University Rectorship, its name and link were altered and then it was attached to Bartın University Rectorship with the law no. 5765 by being published in the official gazette with the date of 31th May 2008 and number 26892. Department of Sport Management was founded on 22nd June 2012. Associate Professor Taner BOZKUŞ has been the head of department since that date. Department of Sport Management has started to admit students since 2016-2017 Academic Year Fall Term.
